Well my friends that is a wrap for this year. Before we go, I wanted to take a moment and leave a final post thanking you for joining me for this year’s New York Comic Con journey. It was quite the fun ride and we here at CR appreciate all of you who stayed glued to this blog coverage during and after the show.
New York Comic Con was, in any estimation, a pretty serious victory for Reed Exhibitions and an unquestionable success. In 2009 attendance was estimated at 77,000 and we are hearing reports that this year’s show saw attendance figures as high as 100,000. On the show floor it certainly felt that way and this all bodes well for the future of this event (and hopefully in some small way comics as a whole). Here at CR, it is a permanent stop on our show schedule.
Very soon this blog will fade from the front page of CR, but it will always be archived under the conventions link on the front page of CR. Just look for the graphic in the 2010 New York Comic Con coverage archive.
Until next year, here’s two parting photos that sum things up pretty well as we close out the blog for this year…
One fan sleeps on the con floor. By the end, we were close to doing the same.
Until next year, cheers!
