It’s me, your old site creator Chuck Moore, pleased to be back with you once again sharing a mix of updates throughout the weekend. I’ll be sharing what’s happening, what I’m seeing and a ton of photos from this year’s show. The updates will be posted in real time over the next four days starting tonight.
Who do we have at the show representing CR this year? Joining me at tables D10, D11 and D12 will be John Wilson, Eric Ratcliffe, Aloysius Fox, Kelsey Benoit plus special guests Eric Adams and Jessica Whyte.
This is just a simple post to kick things off. I’ll be back in a few minutes with some photos from set-up day then tomorrow morning I’ll catch you up on everything that led up to us arriving in New York including my initial impressions of the 2011 show floor.
Be back soon…
Well my friends that is a wrap for this year. Before we go, I wanted to take a moment and leave a final post thanking you for joining me for this year’s New York Comic Con journey. It was quite the fun ride and we here at CR appreciate all of you who stayed glued to this blog coverage during and after the show.
New York Comic Con was, in any estimation, a pretty serious victory for Reed Exhibitions and an unquestionable success. In 2009 attendance was estimated at 77,000 and we are hearing reports that this year’s show saw attendance figures as high as 100,000. On the show floor it certainly felt that way and this all bodes well for the future of this event (and hopefully in some small way comics as a whole). Here at CR, it is a permanent stop on our show schedule.
Very soon this blog will fade from the front page of CR, but it will always be archived under the conventions link on the front page of CR. Just look for the graphic in the 2010 New York Comic Con coverage archive.
Until next year, here’s two parting photos that sum things up pretty well as we close out the blog for this year…
One fan sleeps on the con floor. By the end, we were close to doing the same.
Until next year, cheers!
