A little interlude here for ya, giving us some badly needed exposition as so the whys and wherefores and such. Remember, she’s been running around formulating a plan to bring him down while he’s been punching his hands through the skulls of friends and enemies alike! They’ve been busy and need some catch up.

Panel one…yeah pure awesomeness! One of my personal favorites of the whole series. And hey look Justice Theta’s back! I gotta believe Iron Will should start buying lotto tickets because that dude has got to be the luckiest man alive!

And now it’s time for Iron Will to really get what’s coming to him! I love this page, because it just flows so damn well. I thought the way she finally takes him out, with the knee to the face, was just perfect. Girl’s rough on the armor too, you know? Ouch.

My SFX were fairly horrible here to be honest. I had the basics down, but I just wasn’t firing on all cylinders like I should have been. I got better, if it’s any consolation.

Dynagirl’s back up and running! Iron Will and his monologuing I swear the dude never shuts up! I think this time it’s gonna cost him big time.

The astute observer/reader will notice some very important information about Dynagirl on this page. She doesn’t get tired or fatigued because of her power set. Interesting.

I love the kid’s sense of humor here. Cracks me up.

Ross did a great job on this page as well, and I’m sure it broke things up nicely for him after several pages of white backgrounds! Ha!

Ah some more info! First off, they’re not nearly as far away from the action as we might have once thought! He can hear Dynagirl scream! And we’re getting a bit more info on Simon and his weirdness as well. I told you way back when that the guy was messed up like a soup sandwich and here’s the proof.

And in case you guys were wondering…the Dynagirl series is back to weekly updates!

Man he just keeps calling her that, huh? What a jerk. He’s also pretty proud of those force fields, hiding behind them quite a bit. I wonder how that’s gonna work out for him in the long run? hmmm?

Looking back at this now, I’d probably add some SFX here and there. At the time I was really not very confident in the way most of my SFX were coming out, so I went with a more or less minimalist approach thinking that unless they rocked, they’d be more distraction than anything else.

I loved the dialog on this page as well. Back and forth banter in superhero fights has always been onf of my favorite things in comics. I mean come on! There’s no way a villain worth their salt isn’t going to brag about it. That’s just who they are! The facial expression in panel 2 was just awesome. Harold captured the moment perfectly I think.

Doesn’t look good for our girl here! Ouch!

And now it’s ON baby! WOO! Dynagirl reacts in full after seeing her man get the shank! If I had to break it all down, I’d say this is probably my second favorite scene in the entire series, after the epilogue. Finally getting to cut our girl loose and really get her hands dirty was a blast here and way overdue in the opinions of many!

Oh, and just to let you know, she really hates being called a “bitch”. Notice how none of the rest of the heroes or villains in the background are jumping in to break this up? Someone’s about to get his BIG time.

The kid worked out so perfect right here as a sort of foil for Justice Theta and his new mindset, if it can be called that. I love that he calls him out, muddies his grand quest, much like Justice Theta did with Iron Will very early on. Things just aren’t as cut and dry as they used to be, huh? The lines we draw between good and evil can be more than a little jagged sometimes I suppose.

I love the last panel here where it finally dawns on Justice Theta that all may not be as innocent and cuddly as he has assumed since he woke up here. I never was really satisfied with the way my letter came out on this page, even in the revised edition for the trade. Frustrating to put it lightly.
