Marvel has provided Comic Related with images from the Marvel X-Men panel at this year's San Diego Comic-Con International, running from 10-11AM PST, Friday, July 23, 2010.

Here is the blurb from the panel listing at

Following Second Coming, Marvel's merry mutants are unable to catch a quick breather. As Curse of the Mutants begins, there's no telling what the vampires have in store for the X-Men...or is there? You've got questions & these people have answers!

VP/executive editor Axel Alonso is joined by a host of creators to lay out what's going on with the X-Men. Panelists include Matt Fraction (Uncanny X-Men), Victor Gischler (X-Men), Marjorie Liu (Dark Wolverine), Daniel Way (Deadpool), editor Nick Lowe, and more for this all-new, all-deadly panel!

You can watch a replay of Marvel's live blog of the panel here:

The panelists included Editors Axel Alonso and Nick Lowe, and Writers Matt Fraction, Craig Kyle, Chris Yost, Victor Gischler, Marjorie Liu, Daniel Way, Peter David, Rick Remender and Kieron Gillen. The panel was moderated by Arune Singh. C.B. Cebulski was unable to make it.

Nick Lowe started the party discussing the impact the Heroic Age has on the X-Men, which will play out in Uncanny X-Men and X-Men.

Axel then stepped up to talk about the Death of Dracula and the whole vampire mutant storyline upcoming.

Coming this fall are three new reluanches:

Wolverine #1 by Jason Aaron & Renato Guedes

X-23 #1 by Marjorie Liu

Daken: Dark Wolverine #1 by Marjorie Liu

In Wolverine #1, Logan goes to Hell, and the story will have repercussions in the other two titles as they are building Wolverine his own little corner of the Marvel Universe with these books.

Wolverine: The Best There Is starts in December from Charlie Huston and Juan Jose Ryp, and is a big status quo changing event. It will focus on Wolverine's present, moving him into the future, but avoiding the past exploration we've seen so much of these past few years.

Rick Remender pens Uncanny X-Force starting in October, with a new line-up: Phantomex, Deadpool, Archangel, Psylocke and Wolverine. Their first target? Apocalypse. Cyclops has disbanded the team, but Archangel and Wolverine still see the need for the team, so they keep it running clandestinely.

January 2011 will see the X-Men teaming up with more non-mutant Marvel characters. The X-Men will be positioning themselves as an Avengers type team in that their mission is to protect, and they make that widely known.

Generation Hope starts in November from Kieron Gillen and sees Hope going out to find the five new mutants who appeared on Cerebro at the end of Second Coming. it's basically about mutantkind's future. But it's a slow grow, they're not going to overpopulate the MU with mutants anytime soon.

The new arc on X-Men sees the mutants discovering they are mutants again, bringing things back to the heart of the characters.

X-MEN #2

Marko Djurdjevic will be doing variant covers to various X-books that combine into one big image:

The panel was then opened to questions. You can read a full report in the replay of the Marvel blog at the link above.
