Watch Out Comic-Con, Here Comes G.L.A.C.K.

There's a new band of whacked-out superheroes in town, and their name is G.L.A.C.K.- Galactic Armed Containment Korps. G.L.A.C.K. is the brainchild of comic-book creator Stephen Stern, TV scribe Peter Sullivan and new art talent Joseph Carter.

"G.L.A.C.K. is superheroes meets South Park," said Stern, best known as the creator of indie comic Zen Intergalactic Ninja. "It's spandex-clad satire that tackles the issue of the global monetary meltdown." Stern developed the concept with Sullivan, whose credits include Syfy flicks Termination Point and Silent Venom.

G.L.A.C.K. is a 64-page fully painted graphic novel and Carter's first GN effort. A fine artist, he will be exhibiting at the LA Art Walk that happens soon after Comic-Con. Fabled comic-book creator Sam Kieth (The Maxx, Batman) designed the characters. "I was truly fortunate when Sam sketched the members of G.L.A.C.K up when they were just a gleam in my eye," said Stern
