Walking Dead #73

Chuck Moore on the issue!

I know, I know... For many out there this is a bit of a no brainer pick as Walking Dead has, for years, been one of the most consistently enjoyable and character driven stories in comics today. For those of you who "don't read zombie stories", I can only ask that you consider giving this series a try as it consistently excites, engages and defies expectations.

As of issue #70, the entire feel and direction of the series changed. What was a race through the very post-apocalyptic dead world has become a character study in what a society reborn after the fall of civilization might look like. Our lead cast has found a pocket of society that almost mirrors life before the plague and their attempts to adjust and become part of this new life is both haunting and very interesting.

This isn't your daddy's zombie movie. This is a story worth reading and invite you to sample and figure out why so many of us cheer each time a new issue hits the stands. Issue #73 is a great example of the series, but if you are new, jump back to #70 and jump onto the phenomena that so many of your friends swear by!
