A Word From One of the Creators
From the desk of Eric Ratcliffe
To our female readership and the talented Ms. Moore I would like to state for the record that this was all Bill and Chad's idea and also the original setting for strip #8 if I'm not mistaken. I am not big on strip clubs, never will be and would just feel flat out awkward if I ever went to one.
But I digress...I really love that Chad put Bill and I in Flash and Reverse Flash t-shirts. And Lisa's coloring here is as beautiful as ever. We go back to the basics on this one and those last couple lines when I first read them made me laugh pretty hard.
It's not that I hate the Red Hulk....it's just that I hate the Red Hulk. And by hate him, I mean he couldn't be a more stupid character if Jeph Loeb tried. The "mystery" stopped being fun about half a year in as you realized that Jeph himself probably has no idea who he is anymore.
You guys remember good Jeph Loeb storytelling? Yeah me too. From Long Halloween, Hush all the color books and even Fallen Son had a few good moments in there. I'm not quite sure what happened to be honest.
The Fall of the Hulks thing? I'll be reading all the books with his name not on them, that's how much Red Hulk bothers me, and the storytelling in the book.
Flash Rebirth, on the other hand, has beautiful artwork and a fun story overall. But that's it for this week, folks. Join us next week as we answer the question: What do mouse ears and Bill's glasses breaking have in common? Join us in 7! And Happy Thanksgiving to all our readers!
