I love being surprised by a webcomic I write. Tony just slips in these little cool extras that I never see coming. This week it was the goggles on Leo in the first panel that made me immediately laugh out loud. Seeing Johnny Simms on a trike also is fun beyond fun. I want to do so much with him in the weeks ahead. Next week, Johnny actually puts on a shirt for the first time...
Our custodial ninja is also front and center this week. He has been turning up in several of the last few strips but you had to look for him. If you missed his stowing away in the suitcase, take a look back and see (links above).
As a tidbit, if you've ever been to the Ohio Renaissance Festival, it actually takes place in Waynesville, Ohio and I attended the event annually for many years when I was a bit younger. I just had to take our fair robots there as I know it well and have tons of photo references to play with. I encourage you to visit www.renfestival.com in September of 2010 and walk the same paths our cast will take in the weeks ahead.
