Green Lantern Corps #41

Brant Fowler on the issue

Continuing the mega crossover event hitting the DCU right now, GLC #41 is deeply ensconced in the Blackest Night saga, and one of the better recent offerings I've personally read. The issue is mainly a huge fight, but the action and the history presented throughout the big action scenes were well worth the price of admission.

Whether it's the battle of the Kyle Raynor girlfriends (living and dead), or the power of the ring unleashing the ancient heroes, or Kilowag getting really angry, this issue spoke to GL fans of new and old.

Of course, the main "plot" of the issue focused on children of former Corps members rising, whether living or deceased, and this also lead to some interesting conversations with the Black Lanterns. Not to mention the whole purpose of the Black Lanterns to consume the Green power battery, destroy Oa and all that.

All in all, of everything offered this week that I read this was the best of the crop.
