Zombie Cop on CSI
On
a recent episode of CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) the teaser for the
October 15th episode ran, which features the original graphic novel ZOMBIE
COP from Image Comics/Shadowline. A character is reading the graphic novel
in a diner, which leads into a gun fight.
Both the property master and director of CSI love the ZOMBIE COP cover, but it was the prop person who chose the book, so it's possible there will be a good close shot of the book in the episode.
Jeff Mariotte, the writer of the graphic novel, actually wrote his first CSI novel, Brass in Pocket, which comes out today, August 25, 2009. The prop person was not aware of this connection to the show, so it means even more to Mariotte and crew (artist Szymon Kudranksi, letterer Brant W. Fowler, and Image Comics/Shadowline) that the book was chosen for the episode.
ZOMBIE COP is published by Image Comics/Shadowline (NOV082275), and is fully painted by Szymon Kudranski. Ain't It Cool News said "That's right, while other zombie stories never explain why the dead walk, ZOMBIE COP treats it as a mystery, which is a refreshing and new spin on the genre."
