Madman Atomic Comics #16

Eric Ratcliffe on the issue

Alright, so Brant, Bill and Chuck are all a little busy this week, so you guys get a guest writer to pick the Hot Shot of the Week. So what's my pick? Why, none other then Mike Allred's Madman Atomic comics #16!

This will be the second to last issue before the end of this volume of Madman over at Image, but certainly not the last. It features Frank joining up with a band that was once fronted by Red 7 from Red Rocket 7 and is the first time the character and the series have been used in actual continuity.

Frank, Gum and the rest of the cast are always a blast to read and this one really doesn't look like it will disappoint. Honestly, I am really glad I decided to pick up the gargantuan a while ago before this series came out as this is probably some of the most fun to be had in a comic in a long time.

Frank Einstein is probably one of the strongest male comic leads in independent comics. He and his girlfriend are the Peter Parker/Mary Jane for those that miss the two together.

Plus the series is always filled with weird creatures, awesome sci-fi gadgets and a great story. Mike Allred always takes big artistic risks with the series and it's a blast to read.

So what are you waiting for?!
