Just Three More Days Until Preview Night at Cincinnati Comics Expo!
Hey, hey, Cincinnati! Only three more days to go before the swarm! Of fans, that is! Swarming the Duke Energy Convention Center to meet great comics artists, and hear TV and film stars divulge behind-the-scenes stories, and see amazing cosplay and generally rock the Geek House! You know we're kicking off the Cincinnati Comic Expo with our first-ever Geek Prom, right? Wait. What? You didn't hear? Well, listen up, because you will not want to miss this FREE party dripping with awesomesauce, THIS FRIDAY, starting at 8pm in Hall A of the Duke Convention Center.
Yeah, that's right. FREE. The Geek Prom won't cost you a thing (besides your tix to the Expo) thanks to Ryan Glitch of Sci-Fi Speed Dating. Ryan is our DJ, a job he has the skillz for, having DJ'd for Fan Expo and Star Wars Celebration.
But dancing to awesome mixes is only one of many attractions at our Geek Prom. Modeling group Comic Con Cuties is sending one of their models--Hailey Scott--for live body painting. Jen Pilott of Fabulous Faces by Jen (who is also a face painter for Cirque du Soleil) will paint a superhero costume of the Expo's fans' choosing onto Hailey. She's the Catwoman in this pic:
