The Genuine Imitation Jonesing Bogart Library!
by Art Bowshier
How can anyone talk about comic book masters without mentioning Jack Kirby? He was mostly self taught though he did attend a few classses here and there in NYC. He and Joe Simon created Captain America. The Simon/Kirby art shop supplied stories to all the major publishers, and even had their own company--Prize Comics in the late 40s to mid 50s. They preportedly created romance comics as a genre. Jack had done every genre there is in comics. Here is a public Domain story from Headline Comics found at the Digital Comic Museum. Enjoy.
