Episode #88 (00:43:02)

Nerd Girls and the World Without Girls

It's Episode 88 and the Nerd Girls are ready to get down to nerdy business! Spazzy tells of her work travels, Spaced finishes The Walking Dead Episode 2 and Sapph gets some gaming time in.

The topic of the hour is...Could comic books survive without female characters? The Girls had a lot of people weighing in on the subject including Gail Simone, Tim Seeley, Adam Hughes and Joe Eisma. The Nerd Girls discuss the progression that female comic book characters have taken, the strengths and pitfalls of female characters and how comics are not marketed to women, but how females play a huge role in them. But, its not all serious talk on the subject Spazzy refuses to live in a world with no Catwoman, Spaced would be sad with no Cassie Hack and Sapph can't imagine comics without women at all and more!

So, put on your thinking cap and get ready to debate because the Nerd Girls are getting topical!
