Bring The Charlie Tonic Hour Podcast to CR!
Comic Related site creator Chuck Moore was the voice that launched the Comic Related Podcasting Network back in March of 2008. From 2008 to the end of 2011, he produced 300 episodes of his signature Related Recap podcast. In December of 2011, he left his long running podcast to start a new show with a wonderful new cohost, Ginny Tonic. Chuck wanted a place to discuss topics well beyond the world of comics and found it with Ginny at his side. The two are now 30 episodes into their show and cater to a growing and dedicated audience of adult listeners.
Billed immediately as "new and noteworthy" by iTunes and garnering a host of positive critical reviews, Chuck (aka Charlie) and Ginny's show, The Charlie Tonic Hour, goes from alternative music to popular culture and from classic literature to their favorite drinks without missing a beat. The show directly follows the interests and adventures of Ginny Tonic and Charlie as they explore the best things in their world when it comes to life, music, reading, technology, comics, alcohol, sexuality and live events. The show runs weekly and has yet to miss a Wednesday.
Chuck calls it "the best work I've ever done in podcasting" and we are pleased to announce that the show will be joining Comic Related weekly, rebroadcasting that week's episode each Friday.
Starting with tomorrow's update, we'll present episode #30 which covers the 48 Hour Film Project (a movie equivalent to 24 Hour Comic Book Day) and features a full discussion of San Diego Comic Con. Pulling on his history in comics, Chuck takes a stab at what's good and bad about the mega convention and shares what it means to comic culture in today's world. From there, it's a wild ride involving a drink called a Prairie Fire featuring a story from Chuck's past and a live on air taste test.
With Chuck's recent announcement that he's rejoining the Related Recap, we've very pleased to fully welcome him back to podcasting at Comic Related!
