Back when I was a kid in the '80s, summer meant cartoons, Star Wars, and monsters. Well, the whole year was good for cartoons, Star Wars, and monsters, but in the summertime, mud was also especially easy to find. One day after reading some Swamp Thing comics, I grabbed the garden hose, made some awesome mud, and covered myself in it. Completely. I wanted to BE that monster from the swamp. My dad drove home with a friend that day and at the sight of me, they both almost fell down laughing, but not before asking me to strike some "terrifying" poses.
So I'm especially stoked that this year the Cincinnati Comic Expo announces a once-in-a-lifetime reunion of legendary Swamp Thing artists! You will definitely want to mark your calendar to head to the Duke Energy Convention Center September 22 and 23 to see this award winning foursome: Thomas Yeates, Rick Veitch, John Totleben, and Stephen R.
