5 Q-Squared

Five Quick Questions with Dan Johnson

1) What's the book, Dan?

The book is an adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book from Campfire Graphic Novels. To be more specific, it is an adaptation of the Mowgli stories.

2) Where can we get it and how much is it?

The retail price of the book is $12.99. You can order it directly from the Campfire. Their web address is http://campfire.co.in/ It should also be available for order through your favorite comic book shop and also through amazon.com at http://www.amazon.com/Jungle-Book-Campfire-Graphic-Novels/dp/8190751549/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1327807552&sr=1-1

3) What's Really Cool about this book?

The coolest thing about this book is that is jam-packed with action and adventure! The Mowgli stories are timeless tales, and they are also darn entertaining! It is an honor to get the chance to present them to young readers all over the world.

4) What did you enjoy about working on this?

The thing I enjoyed most was taking these individual stories and weaving them into a full-fledged graphic novel. It was a challenge, but I loved every second of it. Plus, I loved Kipling's stories as a boy, so it was fun revisiting them.

5) What's next for you?

I have several projects in the works, but my next project scheduled to be released is Sinbad: The Legacy, which is also from Campfire. It is my first original book for the company and is based on several of the classic Sinbad tales from 1,001 Arabian Nights. It is officially launching at Comic Con India the weekend of February 17-19 and will be available here in the United States in April.
