The Related Recap Returns!
The flagship podcast of Comic Related makes its return this week!
A cornerstone of Comic Related, original host Chuck Moore has been podcasting on the site since March 28, 2008 covering the world of comics, comic conventions, small press and much, much more via the Related Recap.
With the airing of episode #300 on December 28, 2011, Chuck Moore stepped down from the Related Recap to pursue other interests. While still very much involved with Comic Related itself, he felt his time on the Recap in a full capacity was finished.
As was revealed in that 300th episode, the Related Recap would live on, but in a monthly format under the guidance of Chuck's Comic Related co-owners John Wilson and Brant Fowler. After much speculation and discussion, a date was set for the Recap's return.
This Wednesday, February 1, 2012, the Related Recap #301 will air here on Comic Related as it officially goes monthly. The Comic Related co-owners are all very excited about the continued publication of this first CR podcast.
By and large, the Related Recap will maintain its familiar format of highlighting creators, conventions and so forth.
"We wanted to keep the format pretty much the same," said Brant Fowler, "upholding the tradition and purpose that the Related Recap has always served. It has always been a show that has supported the creative efforts of mainly the independent, but also mainstream creators, as well as offering great convention coverage. These traditions will continue."
John Wilson will take the lead chair with Brant Fowler serving as co-pilot for the show, as the two take the Recap into the next phase. While the main format of the show will remain the same, there will be some additions here and there.
And don't think Chuck Moore is done with the Recap either. He will be popping in from time to time, either as a field reporter, doing convention coverage, as a guest co-host, and of course during the famous Road Show episodes of the podcast, which will remain intact.
So join us in celebrating the return and the future of the Related Recap starting this Wednesday!
