Hope everyone had a great Halloween! Here's the news for November!
LATEST PAY FONT - IMAGINARY FRIEND BB
http://blambot.com/font_imaginaryfriend.shtml
Here's a whimsical dialogue font inspired by newspaper funnies. The Regular and Italic versions are quirky, pen-drawn sans, while the Bold and BoldItalic are casual, hand-drawn block letters for big punch! As usual, the set comes with Opentype Autoligatures and a hefty compliment of European characters.
BLAMTONE
http://blambot.com/blamtone.shtml
Recreating the classic black and white comic tones of the 70's and 80's! BLAMTONE is a layered .TIF file with two levels of shading. Just place your line-art on the top layer and start toning!
ALPHABETIZED NAV MENU
http://blambot.com/fonts_alphabetical.shtml
For those times when you know the name of the font, and don't want to search through the graphic nav pages, you can use the ALPHABETIC NAV! Every single Blambot font is listed here. This has actually been on the site for a while, but I finally got around to making it an official part of the site-wide navigation.
IF YOU READ THS FAR, I SALUTE YOU
http://www.jimshooter.com/2011/11/how-to-do-continued-stories-and-next-or.html
If you;re not already reading former Marvel E-I-C, Jim Shooter's blog, shame on you. There are some amazingly helpful articles. The link above will take you to Jim's recent piece: "How to Do Continued Stories and Next or Future Issue Teases - Part 1"
WEBCOMICS OF EXCELLENCE
From now on, this section is going to be reserved for awesome webcomics you should check out. To kick things off, I'm going to recommend TWO webcomics! And since I'm still in the Halloween mood (like I'm ever NOT...) let's do a couple of horror comics! Our first link goes to...
ZOMBIE SPIT by Jim Tierney. http://www.zombiespit.com/
Frankly, I'm pretty much over the zombie genre now that everyone and their grandma is using zombies -- but I really dig Jim's art here. It's smart, tight and fun. I've read through a bunch of the episodes and it's a good read, too. SOME ADULT CONTENT.
and
SPLIT LIP by fellow Rhode Islander, Sam Costello. ,a href="http://www.splitlipcomic.com/">http://www.splitlipcomic.com/
Sam's the writer, and there are quite a few different artists and a lot of stories to pick from. This is some awesome, twisted stuff. Check it out. SOME ADULT CONTENT.
That's all for now. I have a surprise for you guys later in the month. Stay tuned. And stay sexy.
