Five Quick Questions with Mark Stegbauer
1) What's the book, Mark?
The book is called Dr. Goyle. It's an all-ages book about a super smart monster fighter, who just happens to be an animated stone gargoyle. He is aided by his nerdy, but brilliant assistant Wilbur.
2) Where can we get it and how much is it?
It will be $3.99 for 24 color pages. Each issue will have 22 pages of story and 2 pinups by various comic artists of Dr Goyle. It will be available in early 2012 through the Alpha Dog Studios website, which should be up and running by end of 2011, and at the shows we attend.
3) What's Really Cool about this book?
It's a book that anyone from 6-66 can enjoy. If you are a fan of Hellboy, The Tick, Sherlock Holmes, Scooby -Doo and Johnny Quest, then you would like this book. It's all about fun!
4) What did you enjoy about (working on) this?
The fact that I'm doing all the writing, penciling, inking, and lettering. This is the first book of all 'me' pretty much. It's my baby, and I only have to answer to myself.
5) What's next for you?
I am inking Gun Ghoul for Alpha Dog Studios for a 2012 release, as well as Grimm for Alpha Dog. It's really nice working with a group of guys who do great work, and happen to be my friends as well.
