Praise for Show Me a Hero:
"Show Me a Hero" delivers a series of stories that are dangerous, intriguing, fun and lathered with that sense of character readers will be sure to love. Once you're done reading, you'll know you read a well-crafted, fully rounded piece of work." -Dan Jurgens, author of The Death of Superman.
"...More fully-rounded, more realistic and, as a direct result, more human than all but the best superhero comic book work." -from the introduction by Dwayne McDuffie, creator of Marvel Comics' Damage Control, and co-creator of Milestone Comics.
"Sean Taylor's stories focus less on the obvious trappings of the genre, instead of homing in on the conflicted, flawed human beings for whom greater-than-mortal powers don't convey greater-than-mortal morality." -Tom Brevoort, Exectuvive Editor, Marvel Comics
Why an Omnibus?
We know a lot of publishers are scared of omnibus', but here at New Babel, we love them!
An omnibus is a collection of stories. They are a great sampling of an author's work or a taste of featured theme.
Even better, Omnibus' are great for the commitment-phobes. You can finish a few stories while waiting for the bus and not have to worry about the character hanging from the edge of the building until you get to open up your book again. You can read a story while you're waiting for a meeting to start.
An omnibus can pretty much be your go-to when you need some literature, but don't have much time.
And, like many t.v. shows, each story is self-contained, but reading the collection of them can really amplify the characters or theme.
At New Babel you can continue to watch out for omnibus' by exceptional authors and enhance your waiting-for-the-bus experience.

The stories in SETTING SUNS are imbued with a haunting lyricism, but frequently there are moments of pure terror that arrive like a devastating punch to the gut. Donald's is one of the strongest and freshest new genre voices out there." -Bryan Smith, author of House of Blood and Deathbringer.
