Five Quick Questions with Bill Nichols

Just a few of the Sketches/Illustrations from the Ursula Sketchbook current available KickStarter.com.

CR: What's the book?
Bill N: The Ursula Sketchbook, based on my original character Ursula, features the art of over 20 artists including myself as inker on several pieces, Gary Allen Barker, Neil D. Vokes, Steven Howard, Chris Noeth, Rudy Garcia, Fred Lang, Rupam, Jasmine Van Esch, Brian Robinson, Steve Lydic, Steven Howard, Ralf van der Hoeven, Casey D. Campbell, Kevin P. West, Katrina Joyner, Guillaume Prevost, Chris Meeks, Josh Heusinkveld, Andres Labrada, Edward Carr, Jaime Salangsang, Al Albury, Alan Gillispie, Daniela Morescalchi, Jim Craig, Gregory Forry, William Hood, Scottie Watson, Christopher Chamberlain, Colby Ziglar, and Terry Parr.
Ursula is one of the characters from my Sparta Bay "playground", a Valkyrie-type who really, really doesn't like anything Undead. It just isn't natural…especially to her!

CR: Where can we get it and how much is it?
Bill N: You can go to the Kickstarter link and pledge to get the sketchbook. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/billnichols/bill-nichols-ursula-sketchbook-relaunch

CR: What's Really Cool about this book?
Bill N: For me, it's seeing all the interpretations of Ursula. It started as a collaborative idea with Gary Barker and has grown into this. Plus, there are some of the pieces that are going to look awesome as prints!

CR: What did you enjoy about (working on) this?
Bill N: Again, it's been about seeing what other artists would do with Ursula and getting the chance to ink some of them, including a very cool piece with Ursula and some vampires battling it out by Neil Vokes.

CR: What's next for you?
Bill N: I've been talking about doing an Ursula mini-series at some point and I may have found an artist to collaborative with on that. From this batch of artists, there's a tremendous pool of talent if I intend to do other Sparta Bay projects as well!
