THE POUND Sells Out in its First Week!

IDW Publishing and Frozen Beach Studios announce one-week sellout of THE POUND graphic novel at distribution level.

Frozen Beach Studios and IDW Publishing proudly announce the distribution-level sell out of the graphic novel THE POUND, created by Stephan Nilson and Charles Pritchett, drawn by Karl Waller.

The Pound:
What do two unemployed municipal animal control specialists do when their city is infested with monsters? They open a facility, 'The Pound,' dedicated to the capture and rehabilitation of monsters looking to coexist with the human race. What they fail to realize is their community service is putting a serious kink in the original four monsters' plans for all out Armageddon.

"The Pound could very well replace one of my most favorite overlooked series of all-times, Simon Oliver and Tony Moore's The Exterminators," says Comicvine.

Comicbuzz proclaimed, "It's (The Pound) a smart idea and one that deserves a wide audience."

Pre-publication buzz like this is being credited to a high demand in first week reorders.

"I'm thrilled that THE POUND is receiving such wide support from the local comic book stores and the readers," exclaims Nilson. "Charles and I have been working on the idea for THE POUND for some time and really want to give a new take on the classic and not-so-classic monsters. I hope the readers stick with the series – We have a lot more fun in store."

THE POUND is a 128-page full-color graphic novel that retails for $19.99. Check your local comic book store for availability. If you didn't get a copy yet, you better hurry.
