From the Sketchbook ... Page 14
June 9th - If you've ever attended a comic convention, you know that many artists do quick sketches for fans. They can be a bit of a holy grail item as they are often very personal representations of the art. A couple months back, I wondered why I should be the only person who gets to enjoy the great work stored in my sketchbook? With that thought in mind, I decided, from time to time, to scan and share some of the sketchs I've collected over the years. It's my way of honoring the artistry and creativity of those who've took the time to draw in my book or share a sketch.
Page 14 in this series goes to Peter Simeti who shared his interpretation of Captain America at the Small Press and Alternitve Comics Expo. First we share a photo of Peter (far right) at Big Apple Con back in 2007 with friends and fellow comic creators (right to left) Michael Bracco, Stephen Lindsay and Lauren Monardo. After the photo, we share the artwork. We offer our thanks to Peter for sharing his art!
