We continue to evolve and improve Comic Related
May 30th, 2008 - Have you noticed that our site has been changing, rather quietly, over the last two weeks? We've been rolling out improvements to a couple key areas and today we're pleased to explain everything that's changed. First, let's do a then and now...

Yes, it all ties into the button bar at the top of the site. Starting with our former six buttons layout, three disappeared and three remain. For those of you looking for REVIEWS, you can now find them tucked safely away under or new COLUMNS button. Likewise, our fan favorite GALLERY page didn't fade away. You can still find our growing mix of cover galleries under our growing COMICS page. MEDIA on the other hand simply changed into FILM. Finally, over on the right of the page, we dropped the website address to make room for new buttons. On all under pages, a HOME button has been added to make up for the dropped address.
Here's what we've added in the new update!
Forum - This link didn't change, but did you know that our forum membership is made up of about 90% comic creators? We have letterers, artists, writers, colorists, editors, publishers and more posting content regularly. If you create comics or simply want to talk comics with some extremely talented folks, please consider joining today.
Podcast - Our Related Recap podcast needed a permanent home on the site. As the show has now gone weekly, we'll be updating this page all the time. Even when new podcasts aren't being unveiled, you can check the upper left corner of that page for updates on when we're doing interviews and who's going to be on the next show. You can also get instructions on how to add us to iTunes. Finally, the page also features a growing list of comic podcasts not directly affiliated with Comic Related. It's all about community and supporting the comic community!
Blogs - Our site hosts three in house blogs and a host of external blogs. Columnists Russell Burlingame and Bill Gladman both have blogs and I update mine almost every day. This page also contains pointers to blogs outside Comic Related that area maintained by members of our forum. What your own blog or have one that's comic related you want featured? Join our forum and start one!
Film - Our hubs contain information on comic films, television series and animation. It's a growing resource full of projects that are in development, coming soon or at a theater or television near you.
Columns - We have a lot of new columns launching over the next couple weeks and we needed a single place where readers could keep up with all the action. This new COLUMNS page not only highlights all our great writers but changes each time a new column posts. As columns go live their entry jumps to the top of the page. Comics - The page was formerly a static gallery of comics Seen On Comic Related. We used the page to featured the work of many small press creators who inhabit our forum family. In an effort to increase exposure for their titles, we've combined this page with the former GALLERY page drawing more traffic to those covers. Our cover galleries have been with us since the start of the site and have always proved popular with visitors. Now, we hope you'll pick up or download other comics Seen on Comic Related (for which we take NO CUT) while you're there.
Convention - We needed a spot where we could archive all our past convention and event coverage while also laying out plans for future travels. This page is updated in real time as our plans evolve or change. Click CONVENTION anytime you want to know where we're headed or where we've been. There you can always find a cool photo or story to enjoy.
Links - Our links page remains the best in the industry. Currently clocking in at 2,420 comic related links, you would be hard pressed to find a better portal to all things comic on the web.
We're not done yet. Oh, the things we have planned. As I've said for years...
